There are various sources of supply of high quality aviation fuel for the airport. The prime source of supply is from refineries owned and operated by some AFSC shareholders in China, Singapore and neighbouring countries. This source of supply is seen as a no-risk factor, given the ready availability of alternative sources of supply nearby, in particular from Korea, Japan and Thailand.
The bulk of the fuel is shipped by oil tankers and received at PAFF before transferred via subsea pipelines to AFSC’s aviation fuel storage tank farm, which are further distributed to airport fuelling hydrant system via under ground pipeline system.
The fuel is stored, maintained and tested in accordance with stringent international guidelines.
